Short Story Contest

Patrons of all ages are welcome to partake in this contest.
They will have to sign up for this contest. This can be throughout the 9 months, as long as they submit a book by Nov 30, 2022.

Prize:
The winner will have their book printed and placed in the library. A copy will be also be made for them to take home.

Rules:
– Short story submission has a maximum of 100k words
– Picture books are welcomed! There’s no min/max word count for picture books.
– Must be works of fiction.
– Must be an original story, written by the submitter.
– Must be submitted by Nov 30, 2022.
– Participants must supply either their own book cover or at least an idea of what they want so we can make one for you.
– Participants retain rights to their submissions.
– Participants grant us the allowance to share their stories on our website and to print a copy of the winning book for the library. No additional copies will be sold.
– Participants must reside within the RM of Springfield.
– All decisions made by the judges regarding the winners are final.
– By submitting, you are agreeing to all the contest rules.
– Contest rules are subject to change.
