Nic is a 24-year-old acoustic singer-songwriter with Cerebral Palsy from Dugald, MB. Releasing his first EP in 2012, he slowly gained a following in Winnipeg due to his vulnerable, honest, and poetic lyricism, opening for local bands in the punk/hard-core scene. Drawing influences from artists such as Neil Young, City and Colour, Nick Drake, and The Paper Kites, he built up to 2 full-length album releases, This One’s For You (2014) and Where We’re From (2017), both recorded in various basements with his dad, and both released to sold-out shows at Winnipeg’s Park Theatre. He landed in the Top 10 in Manitoba in the 2017 CBC Searchlight Competition with the most votes in the province for his song “Vertigo” as well as performed during the 2017 Winnipeg Pride. He is currently writing a third album which he hopes to take on his first tour in 2018.
